The Church of the Obelisk is an ancient, shadowy organization that lurks within, around or generally nearby the darkened, beating heart of civilization. Our goals have shifted throughout the years and our organization has changed, but one thing that hasn’t changed is our wonder, awe and bewilderment regarding the Obelisk. What the heck is that thing? How is it everywhere AND nowhere? Why when we stare at it do we feel a fleeting glimpse of endless epochs, of black holes on red star horizons, of darkened seas with twisting depths? It’s crazy dude. Really makes you think about your place in the world. And THAT is what we are about, finding our place in this endless universe. Everything is about finding our place, oh and also the Obelisk.

The Obelisk stands as it always does: Inscrutable, unknowable, casting a shadow across the soul of humankind.
The Obelisk reminds us that we are but dust and flesh adrift in a vast universe filled with darkness and stars.
We are dust and we are flesh. We are darkness and we are stars.

We are beautiful and wonderful and fearful and one day we shall not be here, but we are here now.
